NVISIBLE.STUDIO is an Amsterdam-based moving arts practice by Finnish-French filmmaker and design researcher Emilia Tapprest. Her collaborative work explores ways in which systems, interfaces and cultural narratives interact with humans in affective and preconscious ways. Her inquiry advances through 'ambitopian' worldmaking, involving design-ethnographic interventions, expert engagements, and cinematic prototyping towards immersive presentation formats. Previous resident of IAS’s Future Heritage residency (2023-2024), Ruper AiR (2023), Stimuleringsfonds’ Talent Development programme (21-22), the Jan van Eyck academy (2021) and FilmForward (2021), her projects have been presented at international platforms such as Manifattura Tabacchi, Bologna Art City, Vdrome, Kunstverein Schattendorf, Impakt Festival, VISIO European Programme on Artists' Moving Images, Extended Senses and the National Space Centre Ireland. She is currently tutor at the Geo-Design MA at Design Academy Eindhoven and is resident at the Enter the Hyper-Scientific AiR at EPFL in Lausanne, Switzerland.
